Matt Berry & The Maypoles, SWX Bristol, 2nd November 2016

You will either 'get' Matt Berry & The Maypoles or you won't.

For those in Bristol that do get it, Berry and the band take us on a sublime prog-rock-folk-psychedelic odyssey, taking in songs from new album 'The Small Hours,' among favourites such as 'Solstice' and "Snuffbox' and covers of Zappa's Mr Green Genes and The Doors 'Light My Fire.'

Gun, SKAM & Sweet Crisis, Thekla Bristol, 16th October 2016

The Thekla is such an iconic venue in Bristol, I had to capture SKAM rocking the boat on their maiden voyage as they supported Gun. And rock they did...

Despite an early start, Sweet Crisis got things heated up quickly with their funky groove-ladden riffs and impressive Chris Cornell-ian vocals.

SKAM took the stage in their usual explosive style, but cranked up a good few extra notches to win over more than a few new converts.

Despite being a Scot, this was my first time seeing Gun and they had a more poppier sound live than I was expecting. However, still great fun to watch and frontman Dante Gillespie had the crowd eating out the palm of his hand.

SKAM are about to head out on a headline tour, and including a couple of support slots with Skindred. Check out SKAM's facebook pages to see when they are playing near you.
