This was the last gig of SKAM's first headline tour of the UK in support of their second album, 'Peacemaker'. Sadly, it was also the last gig with this line-up as drummer Ray (X-Ray) announced his departure from the band shortly after.
Having struggled with my Canon EOS 550D at SKAM's previous gig at the Exchange in February, I managed to grab hold of the new Nikon D810 and as soon as Stonehead launched into their riff and head banging heavy set, I knew it was a wise decision - the light was almost non-existent for the whole of the first half. Thankfully it improved. The images are a bit noisier than what I would have liked, but I'm certainly impressed with the results - and seriously considering the switch over to Nikon (da da daaaaaahhhnn!) ;)
