Originally supposed to play Bristol at the end of February, The Union rescheduled the last dates of the tour due to singer, Peter Shoulder contracting a rather nasty infection, and possibly risking his glorious voice if they carried on. A month or so later, you certainly wouldn't have known - Mr. Shoulder and indeed the band, were on absolute blinding form playing to a sold-out, rapturous choir of a crowd. The Union seem to outdo themselves each time I've seen them (6 times and counting).
Opening up the show were Bristol's own BlackWolf, who have been causing more than a bit of a stir across the UK over the last couple of years (and who I shot for Hard Rock Hell's Bath & Bristol Chapter way back in 2011). Keep an eye out for these chaps, they will be howling somewhere near you in the future...
The Union have recently released their stellar third album, 'The World is Yours,' and are due to record a live DVD in Derby on the 22nd June: http://www.theuniononline.com/official/
